My story
As one of our awesome volunteers put it: Ruby is a true jewel. She does very well with other dogs and loves to make friends with every friendly visitor. She can also be a real goofy girl! She's known for her zoomies, her toy pouncing, and her morning roll through the grass. We love her! Ruby can be somewhat shy upon first introduction, and some loud noises or sudden movements can make her nervous, but this behavior is not uncommon in a shelter environment. Ruby would do well in an understanding and patient home with other dogs. We encourage all potential adopters to speak with staff about dog introductions if you already have a dog at home. Ruby came to the San Antonio Humane Society after her previous owners were no longer able to care for her. Ruby's adoption fee has been generously sponsored by My Pet's Vet Group who are hoping Ruby will find her forever home soon!
