My story
Meet Pouchy! This 4.5-year-old Terrier girl hopes to settle down in a calm and patient home, where she can receive all the love and attention she deserves. Due to unfortunate circumstances, her previous owner could no longer care for her, and sadly, the change of environment has caused her to become timid and anxious. We are currently working on building her confidence, so she can feel safe and comfortable. After sitting down with her and offering plenty of treats, she begins to warm up. Once she's relaxed, Pouchy becomes so loving and will give you plenty of kisses! She loves to receive back scratches and will be the best cuddle buddy. She's ready to be a part of family again. Adoption ProcessPeople, who are interested in adopting a pet(s), need to fill out an application and send an email to adoption@sahumane.org (please include the name of the pet(s) and ID# on the subject line, as well as attach a government-issued ID and proof of residence). All the information will be evaluated on a first-come, first-served basis, and adoption interviews will take place over the phone. Adopters will speak with one of our Adoption Counselors to review the application and go over information regarding the pet and additional services/products available. Standard Adoption Fees: Dogs 1 Year and over - $50, Puppy Under 1 Year - $135, Cats 1 Year and over - $35, Kittens Under 1 Year - $70. Please inquire about Ambassador fees and our Guardian Angel pets. All animals adopted from the San Antonio Humane Society are neutered or spayed, receive their first set of vaccinations, de-wormer, flea prevention, a microchip, 2 weeks complimentary follow up vet care* 1 month free pet insurance!*certain restrictions apply.
